After a several-year hiatus, our team was excited to return to Pueblo, CO for the 122 annual Colorado State Fair. We joined our partners at George P. Johnson and RAM to offer ride-a-long experiences to as many of the 510,000 attendees as possible.

Our course consisted of natural terrain obstacles constructed by our Dirt Designs team and the ever-popular RAM Mountain engineered and built by George P. Johnson. The location of the activation maximized both foot traffic and brand visibility. During the 11 days, people flocked to the track and waited in line to get a ride in their favorite RAM truck. Across the way, our product specialists educated fairgoers on the new RAM 2500 and 3500 models.

When the dust cleared (literally!), our team of precision drivers had made a total of 4200 laps on the track and over 10,000 guests experienced the power and off-road capability of the RAM Truck brand. At the static vehicle display, our product specialists interacted with another 2300+ people. It’s clear, the RAM brand is strong in Colorado, and we are happy to help make it stronger!

Our Dirt Designs crew rolled into Loveland, CO with all the heavy equipment needed to build a challenging off-road course for our partners at RAM. The materials needed to build the course consisted of rocks, logs, and dirt…a lot of dirt!

After a three-day build, the course was ready, and our team of talented drivers coached guests from the Overlanding community as they drove through a variety of challenging obstacles.

These obstacles included:

  • Articulation Moguls
  • Boulder Field
  • Log crossings
  • Alternating off-camber dirt wedges
  • Steep hill climb and descent

As our guests took the wheel in a variety of RAM trucks, they experienced first-hand how easily these vehicles can conquer terrain that one may encounter on any overlanding trip. It was a great weekend for all.

Creating unique driving environments to showcase the inherent capabilities of a vehicle is what we do, and we love it!

Jeep and the Gordinier Group off-road team were back in Daytona for another Jeep Beach adventure.  Our team starts early in the week to design and build the Jeep off-road course that attendees have grown to love year and year.  Each year the design is a little different to give each Jeep lover the thrill ride they are looking for with steep inclines/declines, log craws, moguls and vertical wedges to keep them on the edge of their seat.

“It’s a lot like a roller coaster” – said one smiling Jeepster

Jeep Beach has become a staple in Daytona with thousands of Jeep enthusiast flacking to the city each year and 2023 was no different!

Steeped in history, the Mojave Road is roughly 130 miles of remote desert two-track; most of which lies within the Mojave National Preserve. In 1983, Nissan traversed this road with a group of automotive media to showcase their new 4×4 trucks. Forty years later, Gordinier Group was tasked by Nissan USA with recreating this iconic media drive.

In preparation for this two-night, three-day trip, our team worked diligently on all the details.

  • Securing all filming/photography/event permits
  • Outfitting all media, clients, and staff with camping gear
  • Sourcing backcountry-capable chefs for meals on-trail and in camp
  • Pre-running entire route to develop proper timing and logistics for the caravan
  • Staffing a trail guide, trail support team as well as an advance team for camp set-up
  • Supplying recovery gear, first aid, and communication assets (both GMRS and Satellite)
  • Vehicle logistics for the duration of the event

Once on the Mojave Road, our team led a group of 10, 2023 Nissan Frontier Pro4X trucks. The media were treated to a narrated history of the road throughout the drive and fresh trail-side lunches. Along the way, the group posed for photos to recreate images taken on the original trip in 1983.  Each night, upon arrival in camp, media guests were escorted to their pre-built tents to drop their gear and relax. Craft cocktails preceded a gourmet dinner with wine pairings provided by our friends from Overland Cookery On day 2, vigilant monitoring of weather radar by our trail team enabled them to route the group around some inclement weather and get to camp safely. The trip was a complete success, and our media guests enjoyed an incredible experience in the desert.

In the end, our client could not have been happier. The following is a quote from a post-event email:

I want to thank you, Jeff, and the rest of the team for the outstanding work for the event. Your guys got things done before I even thought of them and made the trip much better for everyone. You guys weren’t very visible but made things happen in the background and it was great. I just wanted to let you know how much I appreciated the support.
