After winning the Motor Trend “Truck of the Year” award for the second consecutive year (for the 2014 Ram 1500 Ecodiesel), Ram trucks has upped the ante on their experiential marketing efforts. By adding additional indoor auto sh0ow tracks as well as adding outdoor shows, Ram is working hard to spread the news about how great their product is.
Gordinier Group is fortunate and proud to be on the front line of that push, as our drivers are the conduit between the brand and the consumers.
We are looking forward to our next Ram event next week at the American Country Music Awards in Las Vegas.

Chrysler returned to prominence again this year at the 2014 Chicago Auto Show. With the most space of any manufacturer (192,00 square feet!), Chrysler brought back the Camp Jeep and multi-brand City Drive (Dodge, Chrysler, Fiat) tracks.
Camp Jeep:
Camp Jeep CAS was the debut of the new Trail Rated Pass course discipline. The TRP demonstrates both articulation and traction as the vehicle traverses the offset, rolling ramps. Along with the TRP, the Chicago course is always a guest and driver favorite, with a mix of organic elements and mechanical properties. The trees, dirt, mulch and boulders add to the outdoor feel – you can trick yourself into feeling like you are wheeling on the Rubicon trail.
On the course, was a mix of 2014 Grand Cherokee, Cherokee Trailhawk, and Wrangler Unlimited vehicles. Compass and Patriot made some trips around the track as well, proving that the whole lineup is more than capable off road.

City Drive:
The Chrysler City Drive returned to Chicago for 2014, showing off the Dodge Charger, Durango and Dart, the Fiat 500 and 500L, and the Chrysler 300, 200 and T&C. GG pro drivers demonstrated an acceleration and braking zone, an ambient sound station, a bumpy road, and a back up camera area.
With the astounding attendance at the Chicago show, we were able to treat tens of thousands of guests and media reps to an experience that is unmatched in this industry. Kudos to Chrysler for continuing to raise the bar on this event every year.

Located 160 miles southwest of Denver, the 18th Annual Winter X-Games took place in Aspen, CO. More than 200 of the world’s best action sports athletes competed in skiing, snowboarding and snowmobile events at Buttermilk Mountain for the premier Winter X-Games event.
Jeep offered X-Games guests, athletes, and VIPs the opportunity experience the 2014 vehicle lineup while traveling from downtown Aspen to the mountain venue. 12 shuttle vehicles were used, consisting of a mix of Wrangler, Grand Cherokee, and Cherokee vehicles. Gordinier Group trained drivers provided detailed product information during the ride.
Amidst the fabulous winter backdrop of Aspen and the buzz of Winter X-Games, the Jeep shuttle service was a huge success again in 2014!
The shuttle route consisted of pickup/drop off locations at Aspen Meadows, St. Regis, and Hotel Jerome. Guests were funneled from those locations to the VIP and general drop-off points at the base of Buttermilk Mountain.
The free shuttle service is always a hit in Aspen, particularly on the weekend, after attendees recognize the wrapped vehicles swarming around town.

Gordinier Group had a cool, uniqu
e opportunity to activate a driving event leading up to CES with the new 2014 BMW i3, which will be released in the US in early summer of this year.
The i3 is part of the new BMW i brand, a lineup of all-electric, performance driving machines. One could go on and on about the new technologies and features that this innovative new vehicle brings to the marketplace. However, there are extensive articles raving about it all over the web. Let’s just say that this is one of the more spirited, exciting vehicles that we have driven. The interior is something so different and calming, we have never seen anything like it. With a range of 100 miles/charge (200 miles /charge with optional additional generator), this city car could be a game changer.
To say that we were flooded with interest in this vehicle, would be an understatement. It was difficult to pass through a green light, as people would wander in front of us to get a better look or a picture.
