Honda Passport TrailSport
At the 2025 Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach, Gordinier Group partnered with George P Johnson and Honda to bring a unique thrill to the heart of race weekend: the Honda Passport TrailSport Adventure.
Perched atop a parking structure in the center of the race concourse, The GPJ team craned in an engineered hill and added a series of off-road obstacles to create a rugged, pop-up course that proved the all-new 2026 Honda Passport TrailSport is more than ready to leave the pavement behind.
Across the weekend, our professional drivers gave over 1,800 ride experiences to race fans, each one showcasing the most off-road capable Passport Honda has ever built. Guests were taken through steep climbs, and articulation elements that put the TrailSport’s upgraded suspension, traction systems, and rugged design to the test—all while surrounded by the energy and excitement of race day.
The activation stood out as a fan favorite, offering a one-of-a-kind contrast to the speed of the track with a hands-on look at Honda’s rugged side. Whether they came for the race or the ride, guests left with a deeper appreciation for the Passport TrailSport’s capability—and a whole new reason to love Honda. Gordinier Group was proud to be part of the action, helping bring this experience to life for Honda and race fans alike.
Following the successful kickoff in Torrance, the 2026 Honda Passport TrailSport tour continued with impactful stops in Arlington, TX and Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Each location offered a unique environment and a fresh audience, giving Sales Associates and consumers the chance to experience Honda’s most rugged SUV to date in dynamic, real-world conditions.
In Arlington, we transformed a large open lot into a custom-built off-road course designed to highlight the TrailSport’s capabilities. From articulation moguls to breakover berms, the vehicle performed with confidence across every obstacle—clearly demonstrating its trail-ready engineering. Participant energy was high, and feedback was overwhelmingly positive, particularly around the vehicle’s improved ride quality and enhanced off-road systems.
Ft. Lauderdale presented a different—but equally compelling—setting. Once again, the Gordinier Group team designed a challenging off-road course, which the Passport TrailSport navigated with ease. We welcomed a mix of dealership personnel and enthusiastic Honda fans, many of whom appreciated the rare opportunity to push the vehicle’s capabilities in ways not possible during everyday driving.
As with every stop, the seamless collaboration between Honda Sales Training, the Gordinier Group precision drivers, and our partners at George P. Johnson was critical to success. These events wouldn’t be possible without the coordination of the regional Honda teams and the enthusiastic engagement from all participants.
We’re proud to help bring the Passport TrailSport story to life—and we’re just getting started.

We recently had the privilege of collaborating with our partners at American Honda to create an impromptu off-road proving ground at their corporate campus in Torrance, CA. The course was designed to showcase the rugged capabilities of the all-new 2026 Passport TrailSport to local Honda Sales Associates and enthusiasts.
Special thanks to Jody Suzuki and her engineering team for providing invaluable vehicle insights that supported both the construction of the course and the training of our precision drivers and sales trainers.
This project wouldn’t have been possible without the vision and leadership of Jim Lee, Head of Auto Sales & Dealer Recognition, Arin Baharian, Morris Lin, and our partners at George P. Johnson. We appreciate the collaboration, and the Gordinier Group is excited about the rest of the tour.
Although driving impressions are still under embargo, these photos highlight the rugged capabilities of Honda’s most off-road capable vehicle to date.
