Ride and Drive
The Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach provided the perfect backdrop for Gordinier Group to showcase a different side of our professional driving expertise. Surrounded by the energy of one of North America’s premier motorsports events, our team helped deliver the Acura Type S Xperience, giving guests an unforgettable opportunity to experience vehicle performance from the passenger seat.
The activation featured two unique courses, each designed to highlight a different side of the Acura Type S lineup. The G-Force Xperience put guests inside the Acura Integra Type S for a high-energy ride focused on acceleration, cornering and handling dynamics. This activation placed Gordinier Group’s precision, high-speed drivers behind the wheel, where consistency, control and driver skill were the key ingredients in bringing the experience to life. At a slower speed, the Vertical Xperience course showcased the Acura MDX Type S through a series of obstacles designed to demonstrate capability, stability and confidence.
Across both courses, Gordinier Group drivers delivered repeatable, high-performance ride experiences while balancing excitement, safety and guest interaction. Every launch, turn and obstacle required calculated inputs and complete vehicle control, allowing guests to experience the capability of the vehicles in a way only a professional driver could deliver. The Acura Type S Xperience highlighted the important connection between engineering and execution. Acura created vehicles built for performance, and Gordinier Group provided the driving talent needed to unlock that performance and turn each ride into a memorable experience.
For our third consecutive year at Overland Expo East, the 2024 Honda Pilot TrailSport and 2024 Honda Ridgeline TrailSport took center stage as we again partnered with Honda to offer attendees exhilarating trail rides. With our precision drivers behind the wheel, participants experienced the rugged capabilities and advanced features of both vehicles on the trails surrounding the historic Oak Ridge Estate.
The rides navigated challenging and varied terrains, showcasing the Pilot TrailSport’s enhanced ground clearance and all-terrain performance, ideal for adventurous families. Meanwhile, the Ridgeline TrailSport demonstrated its versatility, equipped for both rugged landscapes and everyday use.
Attendees were impressed by the vehicles’ ability to conquer obstacles, steep inclines, and rocky paths while our seasoned drivers shared insights about their innovative technology and design. Each ride concluded with participants expressing surprise and admiration for the vehicles’ capabilities, reinforcing their appeal among serious outdoor enthusiasts.
Overall, the experience effectively showcased the Honda TrailSport lineup’s commitment to off-road ruggedness and adventure. As the weekend wrapped up, it was clear that both the Pilot and Ridgeline TrailSport are promising options for Overlanders.
Camp Jeep gives visitors the opportunity to experience firsthand the versatility and comfort of a Jeep. At the Chicago Auto Show, show goers can ride through a course equipped with real pine trees, dirt and rocks making it feel like a real outdoor experience. The track is designed to test the maneuverability, traction and stability of the Jeep line-up.
Gordinier Group professional drivers demonstrate Jeep’s hill-climb capability by navigating up and over a two-story 30-degree ramp, showcase Jeep’s differential system and prove the stability as they move over the many off-roading obstacles. It’s a must see at the auto show and the crowds gather as soon as the doors open.
January 2018
The Camp Jeep auto show season is off to a hot start and continues to pick up momentum in 2018.
With the turn of the New Year, San Diego AS was the season opener. We had great attendance in SoCal, and nobody complained about the weather, either.
The Houston and Philadelphia shows ran concurrently, and both shows were lucky enough to debut the all-new 2018 Wrangler Rubicon. This was the first time that the public was able to experience the long-awaited new JL platform, and everyone at both locations loved it. From the totally redesigned luxury interior to the many aesthetic and functional improvements on the exterior and powertrain, it was clear that Jeep fans were impressed.
The new beast ate up the extreme off-road course and we look forward to logging many more miles behind the wheel of the new Rubi.
Camp Jeep continues to trend upwards, as we logged yet another record-breaking attendant count in Philadelphia.
These 3 shows were a great warmup for the upcoming Chicago Auto Show – the premier Camp Jeep event of the year. If the first impressions of the new Wrangler were an indication of the excitement that Jeep fans have for this vehicle, Gordinier Group drivers will have their hands full with the huge numbers that we will see in the windy city. We are looking forward to the challenge!
