June 6-7, 2013
On June 6-7, more than 350 owners of Cummins-powered diesel Ram trucks congregated at the Columbus Midrange Engine Plant (CMEP) to visit the home of the birthplace of the 6.7L Turbo Dieseleir iconic engines. An owner’s group called the Turbo Diesel Register (TDR) was allowed to tour the plant, learn about the new 2013 Ram heavy duty 3500 trucks from Ram representatives and take a test drive in a 2013 Ram 3500.
.
The test drive allowed guests the opportunity to experience the new 6.7L Cummins High Output motor. Each driver was accompanied by a Gordinier Group trained coach-rider, who provided technical information about the trucks as well as demonstrations and walk-arounds.
.
At the drive, we experienced a robust crowd of enthusiastic Cummins owners who were thrilled with the new trucks! From the 8.4” Uconnect media system, to the incredible, best-in-class 850 lb ft of torque, to the new smart exhaust brake, we heard positive comments all day long. I have a feeling that these trucks are going to fly off the lot.
